About this Role
The Investment Analyst will work closely with Partner(s) on early stage investments in Indian tech startups. We are looking for someone who is:
- Motivated and enthusiastic self-starter, who works on own
initiative with light supervision - Confident and positive, high-energy, and capable of easily
interacting with founders / senior management - Flexible and willing to get involved in many different aspects of the business as required
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Thesis building
- Study Indian and global markets, identify new trends, and
draw investment implications - Meet key stakeholders in relevant industries to build an in-
depth understanding
Deal sourcing
- Identify interesting investment prospects and call/meet them
- Network with angel investors, and peers at other venture
capital firms and accelerators/incubators
Due diligence
- Gather and analyze information from the target company
- Speak to industry experts and interview customers and/or
suppliers - Evaluate founders and conduct reference checks
- Analyze comps and build a view on valuation
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE
- Undergraduate degree from a top school and 1-3 years of work experience (venture capital, startup, consulting, investment
banking) - Familiarity with the Indian start-up ecosystem
